Court Drinking
We are offering a brand new syndicate for 2009, The Illegal Racing Partnership in "Court Drinking" a 2 year old chesnut colt by Alke out of Royal Forum (Open Forum). He is an exciting half brother to 5 x winning filly Suave Royalty and her earnings to date exceed $155,000! The aim of this syndicate is to own a part of a racehorse at a very affordable price; have plenty of racing and fun. He is almost ready to run.
This syndicate will comprise one horse, a chestnut Alke colt.
Benefits will include:
- helping to choose a name, as at present he doesn't have one!
- badges on race days where available
- race day access to owners areas and parade ring to talk to trainer and jockey
- all prize/appearance money to be divided between owners
- opportunity to meet other people with similar interests
- receive newsletters/photos when appropriate containing information on the horse's progress
- receive regular communication with details of where and when the races are to take place, along with times and jockey bookings

Syndicate Terms
The syndicate will comprise the Alke/Royal Forum colt.
The syndicate will consist of ten shares.
The syndicate will run from July 2009 to February 2010 with an option to continue racing him at 3 years.
There will be one initial deposit payment of £1,000 which secures a place for a 1/10th share. The balance of £1,999 to be paid before 1st October 2009. A possible further payment of up to £1,666 for 2010, if voted he is to be kept in training. (This is dependent on prize/apperance money won).
This will cover costs such as:
- purchasing the horse
- training fees
- farrier's fees
- vet's fees
- jockey's fees
- race entry fees
- transport
There are no hidden extras!
A decision will be made via a vote as to whether the horse is kept in training as a three-year-old. If this ends up a tie, John will have the final say.
John Best will decide when and where the horse will run and who will ride, though as this is such a small syndicate owners input will be welcomed.
Accounts will be provided to each owner no later than 31st of March 2010 to show the financial situation at the end of the year.
All monies due will be distributed by 31 March 2010.
There will be a syndicate manager who will arrange ticket allocation and inform all owners of race entries, declarations and results.
Any owner can sell their share at any time, and it is their own responsibility to do so.
If any owner fails to make any of the required payments as detailed, within 30 days of the invoice date, the share will then be passed to John Best Racing Ltd at no cost.
John Best Racing Ltd will receive 5% of all sale proceeds, and the syndicate manager will receive 2.5% of all sales proceeds.
