Hurricane Spirit

2004 bay colt, by Invincible Spirit out of Gale Warning
Race record: 4 wins, 2 places and £37,902 prize money from 8 starts
Hurricane Spirit may be the best horse John Best has ever trained. Bought as a yearling for just 18,000 Euros, this handsome colt has improved throughout the winter. Even his first race, in which he finished sixth, was no ordinary affair - the first six horses home in that race have all since won.
Known as Dinky D at home, this son of Invincible Spirit picked up his first blacktype when winning a seven furlong Conditions race at Kempton in December - his fourth win from four runs on the all-weather.
He followed up with a creditable third when poorly off at the weights against older horses in another Conditions race at Lingfield in January.
Hurricane Spirit was then unlucky in running to be second to Hinton Admiral in the Spring Cup, having run very wide all the way round.
