The syndicates

The syndicates have also done well this summer.

MullionmileanhourKent Bloodstock purchased Mullionmileanhour for £26k last autumn and he was sold for multiples of that figure after his impressive Kempton victory. Fortunately, the new owners have kept him in the yard and he did them proud with a great third at Royal Ascot.

The syndicate's new star is Deposer (£19k) who trotted up at Lingfield and now heads for the Group Two Gimcrack Stakes at York. It'll be interesting to work out who is going to give the speech at the Gimcrack dinner should he win!

Kent Bloodstock

For those of you who don't know, the aim of the Kent Bloodstock syndicate is to enable us to buy decent horses and maximise their value on the open market. So far, I think it's clear we've well and truly delivered on that intent! Obviously, we hope we can have a lot of fun along the way to financial success as well.

We are hoping to have at least one more Kent Bloodstock Syndicate for this year, and although economic climate is not very rosy at present, we believe this is the time to pick up a real bargain. The initial cost of entry is pretty high but we believe we have pitched it at the right level to get winners at a decent level and get them sold at good prices.

Hopefully some of you will take up the opportunity to get involved in a project that cannot do any worse than the stock market at present!

Hucking Horses

Hucking Horses is also setting up a new syndicate for next year to be run on similar lines to Kent Bloodstock, although not at such a high level.  There will probably be three horses this year although that will depend on the prices we buy at.

G G Racing

GG Racing have had a boost with Howdigo looking like he’ll make it into a decent horse after his recent win at Windsor and tremendous third in a big handicap at Glorious Goodwood – he’ll probably be out at York's Ebor meeting at the end of August.

GG racing have shares available to suit most pockets and have a couple of interesting yearlings already that they have bred from successful mares Kallista’s Pride and Broughton Zest.

Last autumn we also bought some promising foals – yearlings now - that are available to be viewed at anytime. They are all still out in the field but seem to have done really well over the summer.
