The terrific twos!

Here's the latest newsletter at last!

It's been a tough summer, mainly because of the weather conditions, I think - the huge amount of rain has meant that the ground has been bad for the majority of our horses, and many meetings have been abandoned.

This, in turn, has meant that when conditions turn right, you end up with a lot more runners and therefore statistically it's more difficult to win races!

Having said all that, we've also had many highlights. Generally the two-year-olds have been running very well, and this is evident in the handicap marks we've ended up with!

Ruff Diamond won well at Folkestone and ended up with a mark of 93. He's a big horse who will improve a lot over the winter, so he's having a decent break.

Meydan Dubai has been consistent but a bit frustrating, having shown so much in the Chesham - again, he's one who will improve a lot.

Relative Order Relative Order

Howdigo - half brother to Rising Cross - also looks like a horse going places, and I'm sure he'll win his share next year.

Liberty Belle and Relative Order have also ended up with high handicap marks, but they're also likely to improve, and I'm sure they can win more races.

Relative Order scooped a decent prize at the Shergar Cup and produced a real thrill for all of us - what a great meeting to be at, let alone win at!

There are several others who've not run yet or are lightly raced who are looking very promising for the future and doing some good homework.

Hucking Harkness Hucking Harkness

Look out for Clear Daylight (Heart of the South Racing), Hucking Harkness and Hucking Hero (Hucking Horses 2) and Halsion Challenge (Chris Powell). There are a few others whom I can't mention, unfortunately, without the risk of being murdered by the owners!
